In recent years, we have seen very few cases of the same. Most of them have been surrounding Sunil Narine. However, in the past, there was an instance after almost every series. Players such as Muttiah Muralitharan and Saeed Ajmal all went through this phase in their careers.

    1) Harbhajan Singh

It was after the Eden Gardens Test against Pakistan in 2005 that Harbhajan Singh was reported for his bowling action. Back then, his bowling action seemed a little bit unorthodox. Hence, the Match Referee pulled him up. However, in the same game, the Referee said that he was later satisfied with the action of Bhajji. Later in his career, Bhajji never faced this issue again.

    2) Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav is one of the Indians you might not know were once suspected of illegal bowling action. One of the current Indian cricketers who has faced this problem is SKY. Not many know that back then, SKY used to bowl frequently. He is a right-arm off-spinner and after the Champions League T20 in 2014, he was reported for suspected illegal action. However, SKY did not bowl much after that. At the moment, he hardly takes the ball. That said, the management must try and motivate the batters to develop another skill so that this will help the balance of the squad.
