The ongoing ACC Emergin Teams Asia Cup is a fine opportunity for budding cricketers to get a taste of international cricket. It will help in their development as they look to get chances in the main squad of their respective nations. In this context, usually, nations would send young cricketers to take part in the event. For instance, when it comes to India, for the ongoing event, it is Yash Dhull who will captain the squad. Despite the presence of many experienced cricketers not in the Indian Team right now, BCCI went in with the conventional and future-oriented approach. However, that is not the case with a few other nations. They have sent in cricketers who are almost past their prime. 1) Soumya Sarkar (Bangladesh) – 30 Years

Soumya Sarkar is a name that we have heard a lot in Bangladesh cricket. Having played all three formats of the game, he is currently a bit out of form. Hence, he finds himself amidst other Bangladesh youngsters in this tournament. If he does well, he could have a crack at the ODI World Cup later this year.

    2) Noor Ali Zadran (Afghanistan) – 35 Years

Noor Ali Zadran is one of the players aged above 30 playing in the ongoing ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. He is a veteran cricketer and is surprising that he is playing in the Emerging Asia Cup. It would be difficult to imagine him making a comeback to the national side. Interestingly, his nephew Ibrahim Zadran plays for the senior side.
