1. Virat Kohli is playing for India in ICC World Cup 2003
Virat Kohli had just graduated from the U-19 level to the senior level when he turned up for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2009. Kohli played in all 16 matches of the season for the Bangalore-based franchise, where he scored 246 runs in 13 innings. Kohli had an average of 22.36 and a strike rate of close to 112 that season.
He has become the biggest name in world cricket right now. The right-handed batter is a main member of India’s top-order, and he played a fantastic innings of 85 against Australia yesterday.
2. Roelof van der Merwe
Netherlands all-rounder Roelof van der Merwe was a South African player when he turned up for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2009 season of the IPL. Roelof played 10 matches for the Bangalore-based franchise, scoring 122 runs at an average of 15.25. With his left-arm spin, he took nine wickets for RCB.
The senior player is a member of the Netherlands team in the ICC World Cup 2023. It will be interesting to see if he can help the Netherlands win any match.
