    1. Ajinkya Rahane first captained India and then led two different IPL franchises

    Ajinkya Rahane made his captaincy debut for India in July 2015 during the tour of Zimbabwe. Interestingly, he made his captaincy debut in the Indian Premier League two years after that. He led the Rising Pune Supergiant in one of the matches during the 2017 season, while he became the captain of the Rajasthan Royals the year after that.

    2. Jasprit Bumrah led the Indian team but is yet to captain in the Indian Premier League

    Jasprit Bumrah recently made his captaincy debut in a Test match against the England cricket team. The right-arm fast bowler has played for the Mumbai Indians in all the seasons of his Indian Premier League career but is yet to lead them. It will be interesting to see if Bumrah gets an opportunity to captain the Mumbai Indians franchise in the coming years.
