As per reports, Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan will not be included in the upcoming list of players who will be contracted by BCCI. Here, we take a look at two players who could replace Shreyas and Ishan in the BCCI contract list if they get released.
Despite the directive from BCCI, Shreyas and Ishan both reportedly did not play in the Ranji Trophy. Hence, this seems to have conflicted the orders from BCCI. Therefore, the talented duo could be released from the contract. While Shreyas was in grade B, Ishan was in grade C in the 2023 contract.
1) Rinku Singh
Rinku Singh has been in stunning form ever since he made his T20I debut. Recently, he also made his ODI debut. In South Africa, for the Test series, Rinku Singh was asked to stay back. All of this shows that BCCI wants Rinku to become an all-format cricketer. This is enough for Rinku to get a BCCI contract for the next season. It will be a big motivation for him to do further well for India.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is one of the players who could replace Shreyas and Ishan in the BCCI contract list if they get released. He has been in top form ever since his debut. Both in the T20I and the Test setup, his name is one of the first names in the playing XI. Such has been the impact of the 22-year-old cricketer. Yashasvi is one of the future stars of the game and for him, 2024 could be the year when BCCI gives him a contract.
