T20 Cricket is the modern format of the game. Initially, cricket had only one format named Tests. The match lasted for five days or sometimes even more during the era of timeless Tests. However, as the years passed, the administrators of the game felt that the matches need to be shorter in terms of time duration.
ODI cricket came into existence then. A few years later, T20 cricket was born. Almost all nations were reluctant to accept the T20 format at the start. However, looking at the commercial aspect, every nation has accepted the shortest form of the game. Some nations have even invested in T10 leagues.
While T10 cricket is yet to achieve international status, T20 is one of the most popular formats of the game. It is tough for both batters and bowlers to perform consistently in T20s. Scoring one fifty in T20 matches is a considerable achievement for a batter, but here are the two batters who have dominated this format of the game and smashed 100 or more scores of more than 50.
1. David Warner
Australian cricket team opening batter David Warner owns the record for the most fifties by an Aussie in the shortest format of the game. Warner has scored 92 fifties and 8 hundreds in his career so far. He has played in 330 T20 matches, aggregating 10,959 runs. The 75-run knock which he played against West Indies on October 7 marked the 100th time Warner scored fifty-plus in one T20 innings.

Universe Boss Chris Gayle is considered by many as the greatest batter in the history of the T20 format. Gayle has played 463 matches in his career, batting in 455 innings. So far, he has registered 88 fifties and 22 centuries, taking the total to 110.
Even at the age of 43, Gayle is actively playing in various leagues across the world. He recently turned up for the Gujarat Giants in Legends League Cricket, scoring 68 runs in an important match against the Bhilwara Kings.
