IPL 2023 Auction will begin soon. For the first time since the 2017 season, there will be two different companies broadcasting this year’s IPL event. In 2017, Sony Pictures Sports Network telecasted the event, while the live streaming was available on Hotstar.

Now, from IPL 2023 onwards, the TV rights are with Star Sports, while the live streaming will be available on Jio Cinema. From 2018 to 2022, the rights of both telecasting and live streaming were with Star Sports and Hotstar only.

Considering that there are two different entities in the business now, they have a different panel of experts for their coverage shows. Jio Cinema has recruited some IPL legends like Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers and Suresh Raina for their show. On the other hand, Star Sports has retained their elite pair of Aakash Chopra and Irfan Pathan.

    1. Robin Uthappa is an expert for IPL 2023 Auction

Former Indian cricket team batter Robin Uthappa has joined the Jio Cinema group of experts for the IPL 2023 coverage. Uthappa played his last season in IPL 2022 for the Chennai Super Kings. Some reports claimed that Uthappa would be present at the auction table for CSK, but it proved to be false as Uthappa will work as an analyst now.

    2. Aaron Finch

Star Sports have recruited 9 IPL team player Aaron Finch in their group of experts. Finch owns the record for representing the most number of teams in the IPL. He started with Rajasthan Royals before playing for Delhi, Punjab Kings, Gujarat Lions, Mumbai Indians, SunRisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Pune Warriors and finally Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2022.
