ODI WC is the biggest event in cricket. Hence, teams spend all their resources on making a player fit. In this regard, a few cricketers are doing well in rehab and might be back on the field sooner than expected.

    1) Jofra Archer – England

Jofra Archer has been struggling for fitness since the 2019 ODI World Cup. Although he appeared to be back to his full fitness earlier this year, his elbow became an issue again. After he was ruled out of IPL 2023, many felt that he might not get fit by the 2023 ODI WC. However, as per a recent report on BBC, Jofra is recovering well. He might in fact play in India later this year. This would be a massive boost to the England ODI setup.

    2) Kane Williamson – New Zealand

Kane Williamson is one of the players who were almost ruled out of the 2023 ODI WC but could now play it. In the first game of IPL 2023, Kane slid while saving a boundary and hurt his knee. He was instantly ruled out of IPL 2023. Many reports claimed that he would not be available for ODI WC, too. A few reports even suggested that Kane would be the Mentor for the Kiwis during the event. However, he is now recovering well and might captain the squad in the tournament.
