Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will battle against Gujarat Titans (GT) later tonight in IPL 2024. It is the second meeting between the two teams this season. They battled at the Narendra Modi Stadium last Sunday afternoon, where Will Jacks’ fine century helped the Royal Challengers Bengaluru register a nine-wicket victory.

Gujarat Titans will be out for revenge against RCB when they take field at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium tonight. The captains of the two teams – Shubman Gill and Faf du Plessis – have a lot of fans across the world. Even other players of the team like Rashid Khan and Virat Kohli have a fan following in millions.

Interestingly, RCB’s bowling attack of Alzarri Joseph, Lockie Ferguson and Yash Dayal is the same as GT’s pace attack from their championship winning IPL 2022 campaign. In that season, a couple of former RCB players also won the trophy with GT. Here’s a list of the two names.

    1. Former RCB all-rounder Gurkeerat Singh Mann won IPL 2022 with Gujarat Titans

Former Indian all-rounder Gurkeerat Singh Mann had a brief stint with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL. He was released by the team after 2020, and then in 2021, he moved to KKR. One year later, he joined Shubman Gill at the Gujarat Titans and ended up winning the championship.

Gurkeerat then remained unsold at the auctions. He retired from domestic cricket and IPL this year, making himself available for the other T20 leagues.

    2. Varun Aaron

Varun Aaron is currently working as a Hindi commentator for Star Sports in IPL 2024. He was a part of Gujarat Titans’ inaugural playing XI in their first-ever match against the Lucknow Super Giants. The pacer played for RCB in three IPL seasons from 2014 to 2016. After that, he moved to Rajasthan Royals before joining GT.
