Usually, it is the players struggling for game time that go on and explore chances elsewhere. However, in recent times, some popular Indian players have also changed their domestic sides.

    1) Nitish Rana – Delhi to Uttar Pradesh

Nitish Rana is the most recent player to join this list. In recent years, the Delhi Cricket Team has not been consistent on the field and has also had to face many controversies off it. Rana is a popular player and his moving out is a sign of something that is not right. In Rana’s case, it appears that he was upset on seeing Yash Dhull promoted to captaincy. Considering he is a senior man, it might have triggered him. It now needs to be seen how he would perform in UP.

    2) Deepak Hooda – Baroda to Rajasthan

Deepak Hooda is one of the popular Indian cricketers who recently changed domestic sides due to non-cricketing reasons. After his burst with Krunal Pandya, Deepak Hooda made the move to Rajasthan. Interestingly, a few months later, both these players found themselves in the same dressing room at Lucknow Super Giants. Both these players are now out of the Indian Team. Hooda is a part of the reserve list for the Asian Games 2023. His form in IPL 2023 was bad and hence, he lost his place in the Indian Team. In this regard, the upcoming domestic season will be very important for him.
