Inzamam-ul-Haq is a legend of Pakistan cricket. The former Pakistan skipper is celebrating his 54th birthday today. The right-handed batter made a name for himself with his big-hitting abilities. Apart from that, he was also known for his controversial dismissals in cricket matches.

While Inzamam has retired now, his nephew Imam-ul-Haq is a member of the Pakistan team. Imam bats left-handed and represented Pakistan in the 2019 as well as 2023 ODI World Cups.

Speaking of Inzamam, the birthday boy made some incredible records during his playing days. Quite a few of his records are still intact, and here’s a list of two such records of the former Pakistan skipper which may never be broken.

    1. Inzamam-ul-Haq has the most runs by a Pakistani in international cricket

As mentioned ahead, Inzamam made a name for himself with his fantastic batting performances for the Men in Green. In total, Inzamam scored 20,580 runs in his international career, which is the highest by any batter from the Pakistan cricket team.

So many years have passed, but no player has managed to break this record. Even though the likes of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have shown a lot of promise in recent years, it will be quite challenging for them to breach the 20,000-run mark.

    2. He is the only Pakistan batter to score 1,000 Test runs and 1,000 ODI runs in 1 calendar year

Another interesting record created by Inzamam was to score 1,000 runs each in Tests and ODIs in the same calendar year. The former Pakistan skipper achieved the feat in the year 2000. 23 years have passed, and no other Pakistan batter has managed to accomplish this record.

Considering that the focus is more on T20 cricket now, it is unlikely that fans will witness a Pakistani batter score 1,000 runs in Tests and ODIs in the same year again.
