T20 World Cup and IPL are two of the most followed T20 tournaments in the world. The IPL’s latest season concluded just a few days back in Chennai, with Sunrisers Hyderabad losing against the Kolkata Knight Riders in the final.
Meanwhile, the latest edition of the T20 World Cup has just begun. There was not much of a gap between the two mega events this year. The fact that India could play only one warm-up before the mega event highlights the same.
While the format and number of teams in the two events are much different, here’s a look at the two kit designs which are quite common in the two tournaments.
1. Lucknow Super Giants’ Mohun Bagan IPL kit is similar to Oman’s T20 World Cup kit
Oman played their first match of the T20 World Cup against Namibia yesterday. It was a low-scoring thriller, which ended with a Super Over. The kit worn by Oman was very much similar to the Mohun Bagun special kit worn by the Lucknow Super Giants in IPL.
LSG wear the Mohun Bagun kit when they play away from home against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens. The color combination of the two kits is almost the same.
2. Punjab Kings and Canada
Canada are making their debut in the T20 World Cup this year. They played their first-ever T20 World Cup match against the USA. When Canada unveiled their jersey, many fans observed that it was similar to the kit donned by the Punjab Kings.
Finding it so funny that Canada jersey resembles the Punjab Kings jersey. The connection is insane. pic.twitter.com/qaERzJ85WE

Punjab Kings did not qualify for the playoffs this year. Meanwhile, it looks like even Canada won’t make it big this year.
