    IPL teams have made it a habit to don unique jerseys for one of their home matches. They try to use the platform to spread a positive message among the members of the cricket universe. For example, the Royal Challengers Bangalore wear green kits in one of their home matches to show their support to the ‘Go Green’ campaign. Similarly, lavender color has been used in IPL to support fight against cancer.

    The lavender color represents the fight against cancer, and wearing this color, the IPL teams try to create awareness. They also try to showcase the general health and well being as well. Since the year 2008, two IPL teams have expressed their support in the fight against cancer with a lavender jersey. Here’s a list of the two teams.

    1. Gujarat Titans are wearing a lavender jersey in IPL 2023 today

    Gujarat Titans generally wear the blue colored kit for their home and away matches in the Indian Premier League. The defending champions have donned a special lavender kit today for their match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. It is GT’s last home match of the season. Speaking at the toss, GT captain Hardik Pandya said:

    2. Delhi Daredevils, 2015

    Many fans would remember that the Delhi Daredevils also donned the lavender jersey for their home match against the Kings XI Punjab during the 2015 edition of the Indian Premier League. The match happened at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Yuvraj Singh, who is known for his battle against cancer, was a part of the Delhi squad in that season.

    Delhi registered a comfortable nine-wicket win over Punjab in that match. Nathan Coulter-Nile won the Man of the Match award for his spell of 4/20.
