India has won the Asia Cup 2025. However, the T20I Team still has a few issues to address. Here, we take a look at the list of three areas the Indian T20I Team must improve despite winning the Asia Cup 2025.
1) Powerplay bowling
Jasprit Bumrah’s inability to pick powerplay wickets is a cause of concern for Team India. In the Asia Cup 2025, Bumrah was not at his best. Since India is using the all-rounder as the second pacer and inside the powerplay, the pressure is immense on Bumrah to do the job. India must work on this aspect before meeting tougher sides.
2) Suryakumar Yadav’s form must improve despite winning the Asia Cup 2025
SKY‘s form has not been great for a while now. While he did well in IPL 2025, he could not do well in the Asia Cup 2025. At the international level, this has been the case for a few months now. Since he is the skipper and takes up an important role, his form is a big issue for the squad.
3) Batting order
Barring the openers, India’s batting order did not wear a settled look at the Asia Cup 2025. While it is important to give a chance to everyone, it is also important for batters to gain role clarity and play longer and their spots to improve their confidence. It is still not sure who is India’s permanent No.3 while many are confused as to how Sanju Samson is being used. Also, Axar Patel impressed at No.5 in the T20 World Cup but he now plays at No.8.
