In recent years, the trade window in the IPL has become an important tool for teams to improve their teams. We have seen the likes of Hardik Pandya also switch sides during this window. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three Australian cricketers who could be a target in the IPL 2026 Trade Window.
In the past, some foreign cricketers have also been involved in the trade window. This could become a reality again in the coming months.
1) Mitchell Owen
Mitchell Owen came in as the replacement for Glenn Maxwell in IPL 2025. He did not do well for Punjab Kings, but the franchise might retain him because of his potential. On the other hand, PBKS might not have a role for him. However, a few other sides, like Delhi Capitals, could do with a profile like Owen’s. Hence, he could be a target in the trade window.
2) Spencer Johnson could be a target in the IPL 2026 Trade Window
KKR would be disappointed with his services in IPL 2025. The decision to retain him could depend on his displays at the domestic level. However, if a good deal comes through, KKR might be willing to trade him. Especially a franchise like the Mumbai Indians would want such underrated cricketers in the squad.
3) Nathan Ellis
CSK will not let him go. However, the player would want to play more ,and he could hand in a transfer request. Quite a few teams would want a bowler like him in the squad. He can bowl in multiple phases and can also contribute with the bat in the lower order.
