One of the bold moves by KKR will have to be in the batting setup. They need to work on role-based batting order and this way, the team will do well better in coherence.
1) Use Angkrish Raghuvanshi as an opener
The Mumbai teenager is the best batter in the squad right now. Although he has done well in the middle order, his skills will allow him to better as an opener. Then, the likes of Venkatesh Iyer need not bat out of position. In this regard, KKR could benefit if they have Raghuvanshi as an opener.
2) Dropping Rinku Singh is one of the bold changes KKR must make
Rinku Singh has not been in great form. Against Punjab Kings, he scored 2 runs in 9 balls. He just had to stay, and KKR could have won the game. It appears that he is not in the right space. Giving him a break could be a good idea. This could also serve as a wake-up call to the player.
3) Play Ramandeep Singh higher up the order
After the shot he played against the Punjab Kings, there might be calls to drop him from the XI. However, Ramandeep is a talented cricketer, and KKR must take care of him. They should try to get more out of him, especially now that he is a specialist death-overs hitter. Asking him to get used to the conditions could develop his game better.
