Some Head Coach and Captain duo did well at a certain franchise. It is hard for them to reunite at the same franchise after a break, let alone at a different unit. However, this could happen next season.
1) Ricky Ponting – Rishabh Pant
There are many reports which suggest that Pant could leave Delhi Capitals. Punjab Kings’ Head Coach Ricky Ponting could go all the way to sign the player whom he trusted a lot. This way, PBKS will get a player whom they can blindly trust for the future. Ponting and Pant duo will be motivated to win the trophy, as well.
2) Ricky Ponting – Shreyas Iyer could be coach captain again in IPL 2025
Ricky Ponting and Shreyas Iyer are a part of this list of coach-captain duos who could be reunited at a different franchise in IPL 2025. KKR is likely to release Shreyas Iyer, although he won the trophy as a captain last year. PBKS could target him as he is a very realistic option for the franchise. At Delhi Capitals, the duo did enjoy a fine few seasons. They could try to repeat it in Punjab in IPL 2025.
3) Andy Flower – KL Rahul
The rumours of RCB targeting KL Rahul are very hot at the moment. If that happens, KL Rahul will be get back with Andy Flower, who was the Head Coach at LSG when KL Rahul was the skipper. As per reports, LSG is now likely to release KL Rahul. However, it is not sure if they will target him through the RTM card.
