Dwayne Bravo has left CSK to join KKR as the Mentor. Here, we take a look at the list of three coaches from other teams CSK can target as the next bowling coach.
It is a big gap to fill at CSK. Bravo had bonded well with the CSK bowlers and got the best out of them. He had also been long associated with the franchise. Hence, CSK has to scout a lot to appoint the new bowling coach.
1) Shane Bond from Rajasthan Royals can be a target for CSK as the next bowling coach
There is a reason why we tell this. Shane Bond joined RR as the bowling and assistant coach last season. Considering he is the Head Coach in various other leagues, he would have expected to make the transition in IPL also. However, with Rahul Dravid coming in, in the near future, Bond cannot go up. On the other hand, a CSK gig is always big and he could consider taking it.
2) Dale Steyn – Sunrisers Hyderabad
Dale Steyn is one of the coaches from other teams CSK can target as the next bowling coach. Last season, Steyn pulled out of the assignment. It is not sure if he will be active in IPL 2025. Nevertheless, CSK can still attemp to sign the South African candidate. He can be a great motivation for the younger stars.
3) Charl Langeveldt – Punjab Kings
It is a new management at Punjab Kings. Ricky Ponting is likely to go with James Hopes as his bowling coach. Hence, the former South African pacer could be available on the market. Considering his experience and the way he built the Punjab Kings’ pace attack, he could be a good option for CSK to consider.
