Recently Sarfaraz Khan made it to the Indian Team after the likes of KL Rahul got injured. There are several other consistent performers in the Ranji Trophy who might deserve something similar. They have been doing well for a few years now and are ready to show their skills at the highest level.
1) Prerak Mankad
While India is searching for all-rounders, they are missing out on someone like Prerak Mankad. An all-rounder from Saurashtra, he has been consistent for a few years now. Recently, he did well for LSG in the IPL. Hopefully, this could be the spark that allows him to get into the scheme of things.
2) Shams Mulani deserves an India call-up like Sarfaraz Khan
Shams Mulani from Mumbai has been picking a truckload of wickets for a while now. He is also a decent option with the bat in the lower order. Barring Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel, India does not have too many ready left-arm spinners. Hence, it makes sense to groom Shams Mulani so that he is a bit experienced when needed.
3) Jalaj Saxena
Jalaj Saxena is one of the consistent Ranji Trophy performers who deserves an India call-up like Sarfaraz Khan. Yes, he is 37 years old and does not offer a long-term advantage. However, when there is an injury issue, it makes sense to have such experienced performers in the side. Jalaj is a good all-rounder and can surely be a backup for someone like R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.
