It is played in the T20 format, and like every format of cricket, there is a huge demand for all-rounders in this format of the game as well. The Indian Premier League started in the year 2008 with eight teams and it has grown to 10 teams now.

Fans witnessed the first ever IPL century in the opening game itself, while in the inaugural season only, bowlers managed to take hat-tricks as well. However, in the long history of this tournament, there have been only three such players who have recorded a century as well as taken a hat-trick in the competition.

    1. Sunil Narine joined the elite club of IPL today

Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Sunil Narine has become the latest member of this unique club. Narine had taken a hat-trick for the Kolkata-based franchise in an IPL 2013 match against the Punjab Kings.

    2. Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma is the only Indian cricketer to have achieved this feat. The Hitman has scored two tons in the league – one each in 2012 and 2024 seasons. His hat-trick with the ball came in the year 2009, when he played for Deccan Chargers and destroyed the Mumbai Indians lineup.

    3. Shane Watson

Former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson scored multiple centuries in his Indian Premier League career. The pace-bowling all-rounder also recorded a hat-trick while playing for the Rajasthan Royals in the 2014 edition of the league against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
