    Rishabh Pant comeback

Team India is currently preparing for the 2023 ODI World Cup. However, at the moment, there are too many injury issues for the management to deal with. Almost 5 to 6 first-choice players are unfit and this is a problem for Team India. There is still time to go for the ODI World Cup but a few of them could still be unfit by then. Here, we take a look at three currently injured Indian cricketers who could miss the 2023 ODI World Cup.

    1) Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant is making quick progress after his accident at the end of last year. There are reports that BCCI is trying to accelerate his recovery so that he is fit by the time of the ODI WC. However, considering that Pant just has started to walk without support, it would be too much to expect him to be match-fit in a few months. He is working on it in the NCA but it appears that it will be a long shot to see him at the mega-event.

    2) Prasidh Krishna

Prasidh Krishna is one of the currently injured Indian cricketers who could miss the 2023 ODI World Cup. The talented pacer would have been in the Indian ODI squad had he been fit. However, he had surgery recently and there is still no update about his recovery. It appears that he might miss a few more months and may not be available for the World Cup.

    3) Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer sacrificed IPL 2023 to undergo surgery so that he would be fit in time for the ODI World Cup 2023. While that might happen, there are not too many updates about his recovery in recent days. Even a few years ago, Iyer had a similar injury issue. It is reported that KL Rahul and Bumrah would make a comeback for the Asia Cup. However, there is no news about Shreyas Iyer, so far.
