Mumbai Indians have retained a majority of their core group members although the team finished last in the previous edition of the Indian Premier League. They will head into the IPL 2023 Auction with an almost settled batting unit and the dream bowling duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Jofra Archer in the squad.
However, there are some vacant spots in the Mumbai Indians squad, with the biggest one being that of an all-rounder. Veteran player Kieron Pollard announced his retirement from IPL. He will now work as a batting coach for the Mumbai-based franchise. So, MI will need a replacement for him.

1. Mumbai Indians may go hard for Cameron Green
Cameron Green is a new player who will go under the hammer at this year’s IPL Auction. He is a pace-bowling all-rounder who fits in the category of Kieron Pollard. The special thing about Green is that he bowls in the range of 140 kmph.
On top of that, Green can play the role of a top-order batter as well as a finisher, depending on the team’s needs. A player like Green could solve many problems for MI.
2. Mumbai Indians may target Dushmantha Chameera
Sri Lankan speedster Dushmantha Chameera has been one of the most impressive bowlers for his country in international matches. He played for the Lucknow Super Giants last season.
Chameera can be a fantastic backup option in the pace unit. He could also be a new-ball option if MI prefer to use Bumrah and Archer majorly in the death overs.
3. Andrew Tye
Andrew Tye is an underrated T20 player. He knows the art of taking wickets in all situations. MI could strike gold if they sign Tye at his base price at the auction.
