    MI New York will make their debut in the inaugural edition of the Major League Cricket in the United States of America. Four of the six teams participating in the tournament also have a franchise in the Indian Premier League, with one of them being the five-time IPL winners Mumbai Indians.

    The Mumbai-based franchise have expanded their business into different nations’ T20 leagues. They bought a team in South Africa and named it MI Cape Town. After that, they joined the United Arab Emirates’ International League T20, with a franchise named MI Emirates. MI also have a team in the Women’s Premier League, and now they have joined USA’s MLC tournament.

    Several former Pakistan players listed their names in the inaugural MLC Draft which happened in America two days ago. Here’s a list of the three former Pakistan players who earned a place in the MI New York squad.

    1. Ehsan Adil will play for MI New York

    Ehsan Adil played for the Pakistan cricket team in the 2015 Cricket World Cup. However, the pace bowler lost his place in the Pakistan squad and then decided to move to the United States. He will be in action playing for Mumbai Indians’ team in MLC 2023.

    2. Hammad Azam will play for MI New York

    Some fans think that Hammad Azam is the brother of current Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam. However, the same is not true. Hammad is the brother of Haseeb Azam. He has played 11 ODIs and five T20Is for Pakistan, but just like Ehsan Adil, Hammad has now moved to the United States and will play for New York-based team in MLC 2023.

    3. Shayan Jahangir

    Shayan Jahangir was born in Karachi and represented Pakistan at the U-19 level. However, he could not make his debut at the senior level and has been playing for the USA team these days.
