Gujarat Titans started IPL 2025 on a good note. However, the team lost form later on. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three gaps Gujarat Titans will want to address before IPL 2026.
Shubman Gill‘s GT has a strong core, and reaching the playoffs will be a minimum target for them. However, the management must ensure that they address some of the gaps before the next campaign.
1) Over-reliance on the top-order
It was the story for GT in the entire season. When one of the Top 3 started failing, the team did not have the backup to do well in the batting department. The likes of Sherfane Rutherford will stay in the side, but GT could try to work on their combination to include a foreign finisher in the side.
2) Gujarat Titans will want to target a quality all-rounder before IPL 2026
It has been a problem for them ever since Hardik Pandya left the side. Now, the likes of Cameron Green will be available at the auction and targeting them could be a good idea for the side. At No.4 or No.5, Green adds terrific strength to the middle order and he also provides a few overs with the ball.
3) Inconsistent death-bowling
GT has the likes of Prasidh, Siraj and Rabada, all of whom can be trusted at the death. Yet, the team lost way in many occassions. Clear role definition and possibly another option for the death overs could be the agenda
