The rope for a Head Coach in the IPL could be short these days. One or two seasons, and the job could be gone. Here, we take a look at the list of three Head Coaches who could lose their jobs if they fail in IPL 2026.
IPL coaches usually have a lot with them to produce the results. A longer run is usually not given because IPL is a short tournament compared to other coaching commitments.
1) Hemang Badani
Badani did not do too well last season, especially after the start that the Delhi Capitals had. Auctions were good, and DC will be expected to perform better. If not, Badani could lose his job as the Head Coach.
2) Justin Langer is one of the Head Coaches who could lose their jobs if they fail in IPL 2026
Ever since Langer joined LSG, the franchise has not reached the playoffs. In the construction of the squad, Langer has often missed the balance. Tactically, as well, he has not been special. Therefore, his job could be under threat. LSG must reach the playoffs, and only this could save the Aussie’s job. Hence, he is on this list.
3) Stephen Fleming
Stephen Fleming will be under pressure to deliver for CSK in IPL 2026. Last season was a forgettable one, and the franchise has done well with the trades and some decent auction signings. Fleming has to be tactically good to help CSK do well in IPL 2026.
