    India have played some top-quality cricket on the road to ICC World Test Championship Finals. They won away series against Bangladesh and drew an away series against England. The Indian team lost the away series against South Africa, but they won the home series against Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka.

    1. Suryakumar Yadav played only one match in ICC World Test Championship

    Suryakumar Yadav made his Test debut for India in the ongoing WTC cycle. He was picked for the first Test against Australia as Shreyas Iyer was unavailable. Yadav scored eight runs on debut and was dropped from the team for the second Test.

    2. Kuldeep Yadav

    Left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav also played just a solitary Test match for India in the 2021-23 WTC cycle. He played against Bangladesh in 2022, scoring 40 runs and also taking eight wickets. Yet, he did not receive another opportunity to play.

    3. Jaydev Unadkat

    Jaydev Unadkat made a return to Test cricket in the 2022 Test series against Bangladesh. The left-arm pacer played a Test after 12 years and bagged his maiden Test wicket. He was benched for all the Tests played after the Bangladesh series.
