The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League started on March 22 and will end on May 26. This tournament will be played over the course of over two months, and a total of 74 matches will be played this season. For the fans, it is just a carnival, but for the cricksters, it is very hectic sometimes. Notably, the T20 World Cup 2024 is all set to begin a week after the IPL 2024.
The first match will be played on June 1, which means the players who will be involved in the IPL playoffs won’t have much time to prepare. 3. Rohit Sharma
The former MI captain, Rohit Sharma, has been in tremendous form this season. Though MI has struggled in the competition, Rohit has shown that he has got the T20I skills left in him. He is playing freely now and has scored 261 runs at a strike rate of 167.30. Being an Indian captain, he will be the first player in the in the T20 World Cup squad, and everyone wants him to stay fresh and in form. Hence, if required, he can take a break from the IPL 2024.
2. Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah is another big name that is part of the ongoing IPL 2024. He is doing exceptionally well this season. Bumrah has taken 10 wickets at an economy rate of 6.08. Bumrah has a history of getting injured, and that will be a disaster for India. His playing all IPL matches can certainly be a risk when his team is on the verge of elimination. Hence, he should also look to take a small break to be fresh for the T20 WC.

Virat Kohli is another player who is more than likely to be among the first-choice players for the T20 World Cup. RCB is virtually out of the competition, and only miracle can save them, which looks impossible. Virat has done well with the bat and has scored 361 runs with one century and two half-centuries; that is enough to show his form. Obviously, there is no need for him to play every game for Orange Cap. He can take a break in the IPL 2024 for the next ICC event.
