There is a lot of competition for spots in the Indian Team, especially in the T20I format. A few months could be enough to change the career of a cricketer. Here, we take a look at the list of three Indians who made their T20I debut in 2024, but are nowhere near the squad now.
A lot of players have gone out of the race after not doing well for a month. Even if doing well, due to the combination of the squad, they might not be getting a chance.
1) Ramandeep Singh
Ramandeep Singh had a poor IPL 2025 and hence, he is out of the picture. Ramandeep is a specialist finisher and is not established with the ball. However, India needs someone who is complete in either one of the departments. Unless Ramandeep builds this aspect of his game, a return looks hard.
2) Tushar Deshpande is one of the Indians who made their T20I debut in 2024
Tushar is a wicket-taker and this earned him a spot in the Indian Team, especially after his performances in the IPL. However, since then, injuries have troubled him and he was also not in great form for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025. He is now way down in the pecking order.
3) B Sai Sudharsan
B Sai Sudharsan is definitely not out of the race. Despite winning the Orange Cap in IPL 2025, he was not selected for the Asia Cup. For that matter, Yashasvi Jaiswal also did not get a spot. Unless there are some serious issues in the top order. Sai may not get a spot in the T20I Team soon.
