The current management and the group of selectors have been making some tough decisions. In this regard, a few players might not see themselves playing further in whites. Here, we take a look at the list of three Indians who might not play Tests again for the country.
India is going through a transition, and it is necessary to take a few bold moves. Therefore, a few players will be unlucky to miss out on their spots in the coming days.
1) Karun Nair
Shreyas Iyer was selected as the skipper of the India A squad for the Australia A games. Karun Nair was not given a chance. Therefore, it is likely that Karun will lose his spot in the Test side. He will have only himself to blame because he got sufficient chances in England to leave a mark.
2) Mohammed Shami is one of the Indians who might not play Tests again for the country
Shami was not picked for the England Tour despite playing in the IPL. Now, he is not a part of the India A squad for the Australia A games. This means that he may not be a part of the home Test season. Therefore, it is unlikely that the selectors will use him in whites again.
3) KS Bharat
Not long ago, KS Bharat was India’s No.1 wicket-keeper in Tests in the absence of Rishabh Pant. However, he did not do well in the chances he got. Later, Pant returned, and now, India has the likes of Dhruv Jurel and Ishan Kishan in the reserve. Players like N Jagadeesan are also making a mark. Hence, it is hard for someone like Bharat.
