Ravichandran Ashwin has retired from the IPL. While he is doing a job in other leagues as a cricketer, he could be open to a return to the IPL as a coach. Here, we take a look at the list of three IPL franchises that must hire R Ashwin as a coach.
Ashwin is a cricketer who has a lot of tricks up his sleeve. He is someone who has a different perspective about the game, and he does not shy away from taking risks. Such candidates could do well as a coach in the long run. If not as a Head Coach, as a spin coach or as a mentor, some teams must eye his name.
1) Lucknow Super Giants
LSG needs some strong men in the think-tank. It is needed to add a streamlined philosophy to the way the franchise is run. Of course, some tactical freshness is also needed. Ashwin fits the bill perfectly here.
2) Rajasthan Royals is one of the IPL franchises that must hire R Ashwin as a coach
RR is setting up a new think-tank, having let go of Rahul Dravid. Ashwin has been at the franchise before, and he could be a decent fit to the backroom. He is close to Sanju Samson, and that could help the franchise further.
3) Sunrisers Hyderabad
SRH has M Muralitharan for the same role. However, an Indian cricketer could add more value to the role. Especially if someone like Ashwin is there, he could improve the likes of Zeeshan Ansari.
