Rajasthan Royals have a great batting lineup with a number of power hitters. But what they need is a genuine pace-bowling all-rounder. They have the option of Jason Holder, but he is a bowling all-rounder. Bas de Leede can be the missing link for RR, and with Jos Buttler, Trent Boult, and Shimron Hetmyer, he can be the fourth overseas player to feature in the playing XI. De Leede can add more firepower to them.

Royal Challengers Bangalore is a star-studded squad, but they have been missing the service of a pace-bowling all-rounder. Another problem that they have is in their middle order. Apart from Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell, they don’t have an impactful performer in the middle. Thus, the inclusion of Bas de Leede will give them more balance. He can bowl as a third or fourth seamer and can bat at No. 5 or 6 with his ability to anchor and power-hitting.
