1) Find a pure middle-order batter
The lack of a reliable middle-order batter hurt GT in the crucial games. GT had a solid Top 3, and if they had one more consistent batter in the middle order, things could have been different for them. Yes, the absence of Glenn Phillips could have had an impact in this regard.
2) Hiring a reliable wicket-keeper is one of the changes Gujarat Titans must make before IPL 2026
After Jos Buttler left, GT was forced to sign Kusal Mendis as the replacement because the next best available keeper in the team was Anuj Rawat. Either a foreign or a domestic option, GT must ensure that they have the ideal backup for Jos Buttler in IPL 2026.
3) Find an alternative role for Rahul Tewatia
Rahul Tewatia does not come up in the order nor does he bowl. When the Top 3 are performing so well, there is hardly any role for Rahul. Either the team must find another way to use this slot or change the game of Tewatia so that they get more value out of the cricketer.
