BCCI is already preparing for the upcoming India Tour of England. Here, we take a look at the list of three middle-order batters who could make a comeback for the England Tour.
After the failure in Australia, the management will be keen to have a solid approach in the middle-order. Hence, a few players could come back to the team.
1) Rajat Patidar
Rajat Patidar did not get selected for the Australia Tour after his poor debut outing against England. That said, he seems to have impressed the selectors, and as per reports, he is back in contention. He is a technically sound batter, and therefore, there is merit in giving him another chance. However, it shall still be a risky move because his form in IPL 2025 has also not been consistent.
2) Shreyas Iyer is one of the batters who could make a comeback for the England Tour
Shreyas Iyer is high on confidence. Technically, he has improved his game as a batter. Considering that he was a mainstay in the middle order not long ago, Shreyas could mark a return to the Test setup. It will also be interesting to see how he takes on the challenge if he gets a chance on the Indian side.
3) Karun Nair
After his ridiculous run in the domestic tournaments, Karun deserves a chance in the Indian Team. He is a pure middle-order batter, and his current form and confidence could help him do well for the side. If not as a starter, he can be in the team as a backup. Therefore, he is on this list.
