The ninth edition of the Pakistani Super League is all set to kick off. The tournament will start on February 17, with a total of 34 matches to be played, including the final on March 18. Some of the big Pakistani players, like Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan, and Fakhar Zaman, will feature in this list.
All these above-mentioned players are in the top category in the price section of the PSL. The top category in the PSL is Platinum, where a team can only pick three players in this category. Each player will receive a fee of USD 170,000 (approximately Rs 1.42 crore). Notably, there are a few overseas stars who are in the highest category of PSL and went unsold in the IPL 2024 auction.
3. Jordan Cox
Jordan Cox is an English wicketkeeper batter who has played in various T20 leagues around the world. He has played in the PSL, BPL, LPL, and ILT20 as well. However, he has not played any international games, but he is an established player in the franchise league. He is in the Platinum category for Islamabad United, along with Naseem Shah and Shadab Khan. But unfortunately, he was not even shortlisted to feature in the IPL 2024 auction.
2. Daniel Sams
Australian all-rounder Daniel Sams is also part of this high-profile category in the upcoming PSL tournament. He will represent the Karachi Kings. The other two players in this category for the franchise are Kieron Pollard and Mohammad Nawaz. Sams was part of the IPL 2024 auction, but no team showed interest in him, and he went unsold. On the other hand, Pollard has retired from the IPL, but he is playing in the PSL.

1. Rassie van der Dussen
One of the most popular names in South African white-ball setup Rassie van der Dussen is another player in the top category in the upcoming PSL. He will play for the defending champions, the Lahore Qalandars, with Shaheen Afridi and Fakhar Zaman. Van der Dussen also took part in the IPL 2024 auction but didn’t get any buyers but he is the top player in the PSL.
