Mumbai Indians made a brilliant comeback in the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. The five-time champions qualified for the playoffs for the first time after the 2020 season. They beat the Lucknow Super Giants by a big margin in the Eliminator before losing to the Gujarat Titans in the Qualifier 2 match.
It is pertinent to note that the Mumbai Indians did not have the strongest squad on paper. Plus, they had a couple of major injury issues in the season as well. Still, they finished third in the league. Their current squad members are in demand in other leagues, including England’s premier league named The Hundred. 1. Mumbai Indians finisher Tim David
Tim David established himself as a match-winner for the Mumbai-based franchise in the 2023 edition of the IPL. No IPL fan will ever forget David’s three back-to-back sixes against Jason Holder in the 1000th match of the tournament at the Wankhede Stadium. David plays for the Southern Brave franchise in Men’s Hundred.
2. Mumbai Indians fast bowler Jofra Archer
England fast bowler Jofra Archer was expected to emerge as a big match-winner for the Mumbai-based team in the IPL this year. However, the all-rounder faced injury issues and could not perform his best. Archer was ruled out of the IPL season midway through the tournament. It is unclear if he will be available for the full season of Men’s Hundred for Southern Brave.
3. Chris Jordan
Another England player to feature on the list is Chris Jordan. The right-arm pacer joined the Mumbai Indians as a replacement for the injured Jofra Archer. Jordan could not perform with consistency for MI this season. Like Tim David and Jofra Archer, Jordan is a part of Southern Brave in Men’s Hundred 2023.
