While MI Cape Town has given preference to the players in the MI Family, they could take it further next season. The team could pick some of its new Mumbai Indians players for SA20. However, some of the cricketers are currently contracted with other teams and only if they are released, MI can sign these players.

    1) Dilshan Madushanka (currently with DSG)

Durban Super Giants replaced Dilshan Madushanka with Noor Ahmed for SA20 2024. If Dilshan is available for the next season, MI Cape Town must hire him. He adds excellent value with the new ball and he also has variations to operate in the middle and the death overs. By next season, he would have also gained some experience in the IPL.

    2) Mohammad Nabi could be a target for MI Cape Town in SA20 2025

Mohammad Nabi is one of the Mumbai Indians players whom MI Cape Town must target for SA20 2025. Kieron Pollard led MI Cape Town in SA20 2024. He was not that great on the field. While Rashid Khan could come back for the next season, having Nabi also in the team might be a great idea. He adds experience to the side and would also strengthen both the lower middle-order and the spin department. Yes, he would be close to 40 then but Nabi is still fit and can deliver.

    3) Romario Shepherd (currently with JSK)

He is currently with JSK but did not play SA20 2024 because he was ruled out. If he is available, MICT must plan to hire him. He can hit the deck hard, has pace on his side and can be extremely destructive with the bat. He has multiple attributes to offer and this might just be the right cricketer for MICT to replace Kieron Pollard with for the next campaign.
