IPL 2025 schedule will come out soon. This season, the tournament will start on March 14, and it will be interesting to see which new venues get the matches. Last season, IPL returned to Vizag for the first time in a long time as Delhi Capitals played two of their home matches there.
Punjab Kings also tried out a new venue, with the newly built stadium in Mullanpur hosting their matches along with the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. Once again, it should not be a surprise if the teams try out new venues in order to build their fanbase even bigger.
Here’s a list of three brand new stadiums which can host the IPL 2025 matches for the first time in the upcoming season.
1. Gujarat Titans can try Kotambi Stadium as an alternative home venue in IPL 2025
Baroda has produced so many talented cricketers, but the city has never hosted an IPL match. Perhaps, IPL 2022 champions Gujarat Titans can conduct one of their home games at the newly built Kotambi Stadium of Baroda.
This venue is currently hosting a women’s ODI between India and West Indies. GT can consider playing against Delhi Capitals or Punjab Kings at this venue.
2. Rajasthan Royals – Greenfield International Stadium
It is a bit baffling that Rajasthan Royals have not tried out the Greenfield International Stadium as a home venue for IPL. Their captain Sanju Samson has a massive fan following in Trivandrum, which is why a full house can be expected. Instead of Guwahati, Trivandrum can host RR for two matches this time.
3. Lucknow Super Giants – Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium
Cricket fans in Madhya Pradesh have not been lucky enough to have their own IPL team, but Indore has played host to some matches in the past. Earlier this year, the Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium was opened in Gwalior, and Lucknow Super Giants can think of playing some of their games there.
