The KSCA Maharaja Trophy 2025 ended recently with the Mangalore Dragons winning the trophy. RCB can eye a few players from this season. Here, we take a look at the list of three performers from the Maharaja Trophy 2025 whom RCB can target for IPL 2026.
RCB should not be complacent after winning the title. They will need to improve the team and probably also have an eye on the future, as many of the squad members are near thirty years of age.
1) Sharath BR
Sharath BR had a great run in this edition. The wicket-keeper scored runs at a good strike rate. He has played in the IPL before for the Gujarat Titans. While consistency is a cause of concern, if he can perform well in the domestic games, RCB can consider him as the backup for Jitesh Sharma.
2) Shubhang Hegde is one of the performers from the Maharaja Trophy 2025 whom RCB can target
Shubhang Hegde has been at RCB before as an intern. The young all-rounder has improved his game and now contributes well in both departments of the game. RCB will need a backup for Krunal Pandya, and keeping the future in mind, instead of Swapnil Singh, RCB can back local boy Shubhang Hegde.
3) KC Cariappa
Cariappa is a veteran and might be a risky signing. However, time and again, he has come up and dominated various leagues. Hence, RCB should consider him as an option in the spin department for next season.
