Before the Duleep Trophy 2024 started, many expected India C to not do well. However, they won the first game. Here, we take a look at the list of three players from India C who could be selected for the Bangladesh series.
Compared to the other teams, India C had a weaker squad on paper. However, led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, the team was able to put on a good show to win the first match.
1) Manav Suthar
Manav Suthar was the Player of the Match for India C. The youngster, who played for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024, was in top form with the ball. India needs to plan for Ravindra Jadeja’s backup in the future. Manav Suthar would be the ideal profile for the same. He is also good with the bat in the lower order and that makes him more than handy.
2) Ruturaj Gaikwad could be selected for the Bangladesh series
Ruturaj Gaikwad is one of the players from India C who could be selected for the Bangladesh series. The CSK skipper was selected for the Test Team but never got to make his debut. However, this time around, there could be a chance for him. India needs to have a plan for Rohit Sharma’s replacement in the future. Anyway, a backup opener is needed and hence, Rutu could get a chance.
3) V Vyshak
On Indian pitches, you need pacers like Vyshak who will bowl with the same intensity throughout the day. With the new ball, he has been picking wickets and his hard work deserves notice. It could be hard for him to make his India debut soon but you cannot rule it out, as well. Hence, he is on this list. The likes of Akash Deep and Harshit Rana would also be in the fray for this spot.
