As per reports, Harshit Rana is set to miss IPL 2026. He was also recently ruled out of the 2026 T20 World Cup. Here, we take a look at the list of three players KKR can target as a replacement if Harshit Rana is ruled out of IPL 2026.
Harshit is the leader of the pace attack at KKR. Hence, it would be a big blow for the franchise to replace him with an Indian pacer before the season starts.
1) Akash Madhwal
Akash Madhwal is a decent choice for KKR. He has IPL experience and is someone who has shown potential in the death overs. While he might not bring all-phase value like Harshit does, in the current market, Akash is one of the better choices.
2) Simarjeet Singh can be a target if Harshit Rana is ruled out of IPL 2026
The Delhi pacer’s form was not great last season. However, he has pace, and he can hit the deck hard. He is a bit close to Harshit Rana’s outputs, and hence, Abhishek Nayar and his team can opt for the former CSK player as a replacement.
3) RS Ambrish
It would be a bold move by KKR if that happens. Ambrish is not experienced at this level and might not be ready for the IPL. However, he has immense potential and he could be a superstar in the future. Hence, KKR could consider hiring the TN youngster.
