Rishabh Pant‘s LSG had a tough run in IPL 2025. It was at the auctions that their fate was decided. A few changes will have to be made to the team. Here, we take a look at the list of three players that LSG could shockingly release before the next season.
LSG will have to ensure that they regain a balance in the squad. In the current team, there are a lot of players with similar attributes. Some variety could be brought in here.
1) Mayank Yadav
Mayank Yadav is on a high salary. He is a retained player. However, he could just play in two games, and in those matches, as well, his pace was down. It is likely to stay this way. LSG could plan to get him back at a lower fee.
2) Ravi Bishnoi is one of the players LSG could shockingly release before the next season
Like Mayank, Ravi is also on a high pay but is in poor form. Digvesh Rathi was a fine find for the side. Hence, with this confidence, Ravi can be released by the team. Therefore, he is on this list.
3) David Miller
David Miller is one of the best finishers in the game. LSG would like his experience at the end. However, Miller was in poor touch in IPL 2025. Also, he is on a pretty high pay. For these reasons, LSG management could consider releasing Miller. There is a possibility that someone like Shimron Hetmyer could be available on the market. LSG could go in that direction.
