RCB has released Lungi Ngidi, and they will now seek a replacement for Josh Hazlewood. Nuwan Thushara is there, but he is a different bowler compared to the Aussie.

    1) Anrich Nortje

Considering his recent record, Nortje would be available for a cheap fee at the IPL 2026 Auctions. Not long ago, he was one of the lead pacers in the IPL. RCB has trusted experience this time around, and hence, they could go for someone like Nortje.

    2) Gerald Coetzee is one of the players RCB can target as Josh Hazlewood’s backup

Coetzee can hit the deck and also has variations to operate in the death overs. His form in IPL is not great but he is a youngster and with proper guidance, he can realize the potential that he is. He is also someone who can add value with the bat.

    3) Matt Henry

Henry is a realistic choice for RCB. He offers similar attributes to those of Josh Hazlewood. Yes, he also has fitness issues but since he is being hired as backup, the Kiwi will be a good pick by the franchise.
