It will be interesting to see RCB’s strategy at the auctions. They have a decent purse and could go for one big name at least. Here, we take a look at the list of three players RCB could surprisingly target for IPL 2026 in the upcoming auctions.
RCB might go for some options that other teams might not be too interested in. They have a settled core and hence, the franchise can afford to make such moves.
1) Matthew Short
Matt Short is an underrated option for franchises. He can hit the ball hard and also offers some overs with the ball. Yes, he could be inconsistent but as a backup batter, he adds value.
2) David Miller is one of the players RCB could surprisingly target for IPL 2026
RCB has backed experienced players, and they could go again for Miller, although he is not a hot property on the market. RCB needs a left-hander in the middle order and someone who can replace Liam Livingstone. The South African veteran fits the bill well.
3) Kuldeep Sen
RCB will need to add variety to their pace attack. Kuldeep Sen can be expensive, but as an Impact Player, he could be a real deal. On specific pitches, too, Kuldeep is a good option to have on the pace attack.
