There is plenty of depth in Indian Cricket. Also, the team does not play as many Tests as a team like England. Hence, opportunities are limited and having runs behind you might sometimes not be enough for the side.

    1) Priyank Panchal

Priyank Panchal has now retired from all forms of Indian cricket. However, back then, around three to four years ago, he was very close to making his debut for Team India. He is an opener, and India always has plenty of resources at the top of the order. Hence, the Gujarat cricketer could not make his debut.

    2) Abhimanyu Easwaran could never debut for the Indian Test Team

The Bengal cricketer fell on the radar of the Indian Team almost five years ago. Still, he is yet to don his India cap. He has travelled with the Indian Team to England and Australia, and despite the promise, the cap never came his way. He is 30 years old and he will have to mount those runs again to be a part of the Indian Cricket Team.

    3) Saurabh Kumar

Before Axar Patel made his Test debut, Saurabh was close to becoming Ravindra Jadeja’s successor. However, he did not get a chance and after Axar made his debut, the Uttar Pradesh spinner found the road back to the Indian Team very hard. He recently changed his state in the Ranji Trophy to Andhra Pradesh.
