It is inevitable that the likes of Mohammed Shami will be released. However, since it is just the second year of the cycle, SRH might not go for a wholesale change.
1) Simarjeet Singh
Simarjeet Singh was a bit expensive last season. Yet, considering the raw potential that he has, SRH might trust. Especially because they might release Shami, retaining Simarjeet could be a tactical call.
2) Abhinav Manohar is one of the players SRH might surprisingly retain before IPL 2026
The Karnataka batter was in poor form last season. That said, he is a special cricketer and his profile is hard to find. Therefore, SRH could decide to keep him for one more season, just to ensure that there is enough depth in the squad.
3) Rahul Chahar
Many expected Rahul to play a lot of games last season. However, that did not happen. Zeeshan Ansari played and did well. That said, Rahul is still young and he has experience of playing a lot of IPL seasons. Therefore, SRH might consider retaining him.
