Texas Super Kings might have had a decent debut season in MLC 2023. However, there were a few players who underperformed. Here, we take a look at the list of three players Texas Super Kings might release before the next season.
Next year, we might see some more available cricketers on the market. Hence, the dynamics could change. In this regard, TSK has some work to do in the back end.
1) David Miller
In seven matches, he scored 143 runs at an average close to 20 and a strike rate of around 125. This was clearly not Miller and being an experienced name, more was expected out of him. Therefore, TSK could release him before the next campaign. If Moeen Ali becomes available for the next season, he would be a top replacement as Moeen would also offer services in the bowling department.
2) Calvin Savage
There was a lot expected from the all-rounder in MLC 2023. However, he was not at his best. In 5 games, he scored 39 runs with the bat and was able to pick up only just two wickets. TSK might search for other local alternatives in the market in the next few months. Nevertheless, if the cricketer can do some good work in the other competitions, there might still be a chance for him.
3) Cody Chetty
In 5 matches, the batter was able to make only 76 runs. His average was around 15 and the strike rate was just above 100. For a T20 tournament, these numbers are unacceptable, especially for a pure batter. Considering there are not too many names in the domestic circuit, Cody Chetty might get another chance. However, that would depend on his form in other tournaments in the next few months.
