Squad: Suryakumar Yadav (C), Sanju Samson (wk), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Rinku Singh, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Axar Patel (VC), Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammad Shami, Varun Chakravarthy, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Dhruv Jurel (WK)

    1) Shivam Dube

It is not clear if Shivam Dube is unavailable. However, he was a part of the Mumbai squad for the recent domestic games. If he was available and yet not picked, then Dube can consider himself unlucky. He did well in the final of the 2024 T20 World Cup. His game was improving and he was looking at nailing the No.4 spot in the squad.

    2) Jitesh Sharma is not selected for the England T20I series

Jitesh Sharma is one of the players unlucky to be not selected for the England T20I series. He was the backup keeper in the previous tournaments. However, with Sanju Samson doing so well, he could not get a chance. Now, he has been dropped for Dhruv Jurel, who himself has not established, so far, in the T20 format. Therefore, Jitesh is a bit unlucky here.
