Sam Curran was traded from the Chennai Super Kings before the auctions. Hence, there would have been in a plan in place for the English all-rounder. RR must now sign a replacement who can offer similar attributes.

The Zimbabwe cricketer would be an experienced choice for the side. Since the team does not have a frontline right-arm off-spinner apart from Riyan Parag, Raza could add value to the side. He could also feature at No.5 if some early wickets fall down for the side.
