BCCI will announce the Indian Team for the upcoming Asia Cup. India’s last T20 assignment was against England earlier this year. Here, we take a look at the list of three players who could get dropped from the Indian Team for the Asia Cup 2025.
Since the last few months, a lot of perspectives have changed. IPL 2025 has happened, which has now given the selectors increased clarity on how they must proceed.
1) Mohammed Shami
Shami was in poor form in IPL 2025. He could not pick up a lot of wickets for SRH and was eventually dropped from the side. With the likes of Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj doing well in IPL 2025, they could get preference in the side. Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah will anyways be a part of the side. The likes of Mayank Yadav and Harshit Rana could also get a chance.
2) Rinku Singh may not be selected in the Indian Team for the Asia Cup 2025
Rinku Singh has been in bad form for a while now. IPL 2025 was no different. Team India needs a finisher with some confidence. However, Rinku lacks it at the moment. Thereby, India could adopt a different tactic in the late middle-order. Rinku Singh might not be a part of this plan.
3) Ravi Bishnoi
Ravi Bishnoi was dropped from LSG side in IPL 2025. That was a poor tournament for the leggie. Therefore, India might look beyond him. Digvesh Rathi is an option. However, India might go with Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar and Varun CV as the spin choices in the side.
