1) Ishan Kishan
SRH will surely want an Indian vice-captain in the coming seasons. While Abhishek Sharma is an option, new recruit Ishan Kishan seems to be a better option. He has more experience and has been a captain at the U19 level, as well. Therefore, SRH could use him in this role for IPL 2025.
2) R Ashwin could be one of the vice-captains in IPL 2025
R Ashwin is one of the players who could surprisingly become vice-captains in IPL 2025. If Ruturaj Gaikwad misses a game by any chance, it will be interesting to see who becomes the captain. Ravindra Jadeja seems to be out of the race while MS Dhoni is always an option. In this regard, with the experience he has, Ashwin could be a choice for the role. He is smart and can be a good option as a captain if Rutu is unavailable.
3) Marcus Stoinis
Punjab Kings are likely to appoint Shreyas Iyer as the captain. However, they do not have a lot of choices for the vice-captain role. Marcus Stoinis has recently been appointed as the skipper of Melbourne Stars. He is doing well as an all-rounder and could serve a role as Shreyas’ deputy, especially with the experience he has in this format.
